Unfair results in IELTS Speaking and Writing tests

Unfortunately, recently some centers in some countries are giving a lower score than what students should really get, so you must know what to do in case that happened to you.

During the re-marking process, you cannot use your IELTS scores for university or immigration applications. The fee for a re-mark varies between IELTS test centers, but it in most countries the IELTS remark fee is between US$90 and US$130. Your fee will be refunded if your scores change.

Trust me I saw many YouTube Vedios and I came across this as well. This is the reason why I applied for EOR as I was very much confident in my speaking however, I only got 6 when I got my result. I was totally disappointed and after few days of research I applied for eor and guess what my speaking increased from 6 to 7.5. I was overwhelmed with joy since it was a huge increment ❤️🌹

I'm excited to share my experience, I had 5.5 in writing and I'm sure I did far more than what was recorded, so I requested for EOR and I got 6.5 in writing. My one cent is, once you believed you did well than what you've received, go for it

That happened to me I got my results and in speaking was 6. I can't believe even my speaking partners got surprised so I decided now to enroll in a course and ask for help to an IELTS teacher and I will retake the test in March. Because, I don't translate and I use a good range of vocabulary and even I feelt confident during my speaking performance. I'm only proud of me because I prepared by myself.

I got my results today. I was especially stressed about speaking part, I didn't expect 6.5, unbelievable! Writing is a little bit disappointing, I believe I needed much more practice. However I got what I needed in such a short time, thanks to you.

You said that giving re-mark listening and reading is in vain because these are unchangeable ( I mean you didn't recommend it) but in your example Alena's lis and reading result has been changed.

In the reading module of my exam (25th February) I wrote letter T/F/NG instead of True/False\Not given.
Another thing is in passage 3 there were yes/no/not given question but i answered T/F/NG
again.
Is that ok? Or incorrect ?
Please let me know.

If you are certain you did well, and you didn’t get the score you’re hoping for, then go for it. Don’t apply for EOR if you’re just hoping to see if your score will increase by chance, unless you have the money to gamble.
I recently took IELTS and I was so sure I won’t get anything less than 7 in my speaking, when my result came out, I got 6. I applied for EOR and my score changed to 7.5.

Listening and reading the band score wont chance .that's not true that someone can move from band score 7 to 9 in Listening never

I requested an EOR 7 days ago. My original scores were 8.0 L, 7.5 R, 6.5 W, 6.0 S. I wasn't happy with my speaking as I was sure it's far better than my writing (usually speaking is higher than writing). Also, I didn't like the Examiner, so I was sure he substantially decreased my score. So, I applied both Writing (just in case) and Speaking to improve. My speaking score increased from 6.0 to 6.5...although i thought they will give 7.0 😅...0.5 more, and my overall would be 7.5. Nevertheless, my lesson is, if you're sure, then you should go for an EOR and improve it. Refund is coming

Hi Ross IELTS Academy, thanks for giving instruction and information about IELTS Re-Mark, however, I wanna ask if the first band score of mine on writing skills is 6.5 and re-mark score on the same skills is 7.0, then the final result of mine on writing is 7.0, or another examiner need to mark again?

Hey, my exam was on 16th of april and my result was on 29 april that is listening 6.0, reading 6.0 writing 5.5 and speaking 6.5 but i m confused should i go for EOR ? Because although it was my first attempt but i am preety sure in my routine i was good in writing. I easily got 6.0 or 6.5 so what should i do right now could you please tell me ?

Maybe I would request for a remark of my writing. I practiced listening on your channel only and scored 8.5 in my first attempt. My result was 8.5, 7.5, 7, 6.5 (LSRW). My friend also suggested I apply for a remark of my writing but I'm reluctant. Thank you so much for all you do on this channel 🙏
