Daniel Ricciardo's furious post race conversation | Hungarian Grand Prix 2024

Daniel is furious with his team's strategy call that cost him multiple places in the race throwing him out of the points. This has been especially critical now with his future in question with no contract for 2025 as of yet. Meaning he might be out of a F1 seat soon with other possible seats drying up and Liam Lawson pushing for 2025 drive.

When he got called in on lap 8 I knew immediately that his race was done. Especially RB left yuki on track for that long. Its like RB was actively screwing Daniel.

He lost places to cars on softs at the start, so why would you put him out on mediums if you're going to call him in on lap 8 with all the cars using softs. It was such a bizarre move.

He wasn’t furious, he was very calm, simply explaining that things could have been better, and how they could have been better.

He was ahead of Yuki before he was called into the pits. Yuki stayed out and kept lapping in free air and finished 9th. they could have had both cars in the points.

He was faster than yuki all weekend and he got a shit strategy self admitted by the team and you still say hes bad. Bro i cant hack f1 fans anymore

They need to give DR the second red bull seat.

1. The car is set up around max and DR likes a similar swt up.
2. It opens up a seat for Lawson to get experience at Vcarb.
3. Ricciardo will either sink or swim at the top team. If he fails then Yuki comes in next season and the Red Bull gets two juniors in the "junior" team.

The last half of this season with Danny Ricc in the red bull would answer so many questions for the team moving forward. If opens up the log jam they are experiencing with drivers.

I had no idea why they called him in when he was on mediums and the cars in front of him that pitted started on the softs. The whole idea of starting on mediums was to run longer than the soft runners, yet they called him in 1 lap after they pitted. It made no sense, and they ruined his race. He should have finished around the edge of the points like Yuki.

edit: I'm not saying Daniel fans hate Yuki - they're just selective in memory. If Yuki fans complain when he gets f'cked over, it's "he didn't perform, stop whinging". But if it's Daniel that get's f'cked....?

tbf This team does this often, against any of their drivers. It's italian roulette. I feel for DR this time - I hope DR fans can appreciate YT's unlucky days just as fairly. Coz it will happen again
