*Lyrics*

Four men in a rock 'n roll band
Fly at night in the morning we land
Fly at night 'til we're satisfied
See the morning from the other side

And when you close your eyes
Sleep comes fast
When you fly the universe
Well, you need some rest
Yeah, you need some rest

Ooh, we like the big wide spaces
Yeah, we like a sea of faces
Time is just a rubber band
Time is at our command

And when we look out
And see you there
You seem much closer
And you feel so near
Yeah, you feel so near

Well we fly by night, it's like a rocket flight
And baby that's just what it's for
Yeah, we fly by night, it makes you feel alright
It keeps you coming back for more

Well we fly by night, it's like a rocket flight
And baby that's just what it's for
We fly by night, it makes you feel alright
It keeps you coming back for more

Four men in a rock 'n roll band
Fly at night in the morning we land
Fly at night 'til we're satisfied
See the morning from the other side

Love very much the lines: "Time is just a rubber band, Time is at our command". Love those concepts. Poetic as well as opening doors in the field of quantum physic.

Mushroom Records sent me Chilliwack's vinyl "Dreams, Dreams, Dreams" album for absolutely free postpaid in response to me writing to them just asking for a catalog. Mighty swell of 'em, huh ! In fall 1976 I'd bought Heart's "Dreamboat Annie" lp and I was wondering what other artists might be signed with Mushroom.

A true gem of a song, but....it really depresses me. It just makes me feel so sad, as in past missed opportunities, the loss of loved ones that are no longer here, stupid mistakes, the futility of it all, wasted time, etc. Sorry guys and gals, this song is an indisputable masterpiece for sure, but I can't help it if this song, and many other songs from the 70s as well, make me feel this way. I'm not handling the fact that my youth is behind me, and that at 57 I am closer to the end than to the beginning, so to speak..It's weird, because I'm stuck in the past, and yet it is the past that haunts me. I know that I have a lot to be grateful for, but still, I can't seem to find meaning in anything anymore.

tell me how Bill Henderson can simultaneously rip off not only Neil Young's voice but also Joni Mitchell's voice at 3:00

I heard Bill Henderson perform this song tonight for the Green Party and it sounded every bit as good as this tape -
I couldn't believe it.

It's like Neil Young and Lynyrd Skynyrd worked it out and had a kid....
