So if you know a operator's DMR number you can dial them and talk to just that person no matter what talk group they are listening to or hotspot or repeater they might be on as long as their radio is turned on? I would like to see that demonstrated some time.

Hi Chris, I tested the contact group method via my node and when I Tx the second time it went back to the previous group.

Hi Chris glad to talk to you today from Australia.Thanks for your help and these videos.I am VK6MIL Graeme. By the way is there a setting to make the top left knob change channels? Mine does not change, I have to use the keypad up/down arrow pad.

Can it be used as a normal scanner this will be my first time owning 1

Ok I need help. Scanning uhf/vhf, in TO or SE mode. Someone starts talking. On other radios I can tap tx or any key and it holds that channel and I can transmit on it. I cannot get the 878 or the 578 to do this. Help please!!
