Joe Rogan isn't contrary to the mainstream, he's very open minded to diverse opinions, which they find much more threatening. Contrary opinions are hard to dismiss.

Ivermectin was endorsed by some doctors in this country at the beginning of the pandemic, for the simple reason that it did help some people. Most people may have forgotten about it, but some of us do remember!

I wasn’t aware emergency use vaccination was dependent on there being no cure. So if Ivermectin helps, why the emergency use authorization? I think I know why.

I like Joe Rogan, but honest I think most of the fuss was about him saying healthy fit people have nothing to worry about, and raising questions about emergency authorization for vaccines, but when he got sick himself he threw the kitchen sink at it in terms of treatment (including the use of not widely approve off-label usage of medicines, and the emergency authorization moniclonal antibody therapies). He's a great podcaster, but it certainly does raise eyebrows that someone who made such a point of saying getting sick with COVID was no big deal and then as soon as he was sick himself he was bombarded with therapies in what appears to be a kind of panic reaction. Mostly just a hypocrisy things from my perspective, but MSM does love to twist the picture and make it a big scandal.
