I need to say it, this girl has absolutely been exploited and manipulated for years esp by her “boyfriends”. I don’t care how much they talk about her parents and brother looking out for her, no sane family is going to let their 16 year old date a 21 year old, then stand by AGAIN when she starts dating a 30 something when she’s 19/20. She’s known nothing except her experience in the entertainment industry which is extremely exploitative of young people and gets pulled into shitty relationships with people who take advantage of her naivety. Also I don’t care if she’s 21 now, you don’t grow up homeschooled with most of your conscious life becoming a popstar and come out with a ton of common sense.

edit: to anyone who actually makes it this far reading this, i keep getting replies that are like "oh but she's an adult that's no excuse why are you defending her she's not a girl's girl" if you actually read and comprehended what i wrote you would understand that i am not excusing her behavior and saying it's fine actually. what i am saying is that she was not given the opportunities to recognize that she was being manipulated by older people because it was being allowed by the people who were supposed to be assuring her wellbeing and her upbringing was extremely unusual. i'm not dEfEnDiNg her, what i am doing is asking you to imagine if you were raised from infancy to be an entertainer and allowed as a minor to have relationships that are extremely questionable, if you would be in a position as an adult to make the best judgments about who you were dating and the consequences of it. because you would not.

also, being an entertainer does not make you grow up faster. it just means you're put into extremely vulnerable positions much earlier and often in life.
