A big thing about 30 is that after 30 everyone just expects you’re good at what you do and you have yourself together. Suddenly you don’t impress anyone anymore.

37 and still don't have any of that. Single, no kids, a "no skill" warehouse job. Studio apartment for just me and my cat. Some days I feel like a failure, others I feel like I got time. But at the end, I never feel like a part of life is missing, I'm content with what my life is.

She’s spot on. I was so stressed before I turned 30 basically because of standards others and society had created. Once I let go of that, 31 and 32 were two of the best years of my life.

Exactly how I felt, geez. Literally my entire 20's I thought age meant nothing regarding your life path. Still do in an realist sense, but the societal pressure is IMMENSE and it hits you like a truck as your 29th birthday is now 5 months past.
