Not gonna lie.. When I saw him in spongebob I had nightmares for weeks when I was a kid, I didn't even know that he had his own horror movie! And yet, its fantastic and creepy at the same time!

I love the actors in these Silent Films sometimes, Hutter literally says he is going to the land of "Thieves and Phantoms" and his wife is understandably upset and worried for her husband, but he acts so oblivious about it and excited while he is packing. It would be like your white-brand husband saying he is going to inner city Detroit all excited, and you are standing in the corner praying: "Please God, don't let him accidently wear any gang colors..."

We are lucky to be able to see this. The family of Bram Stoker sued the makers of this unauthorized film for copyright infringement and the courts ruled all copies should be destroyed. Thankfully it still exists!

The idea of Nosferatu taking his coffin filled with cursed earth everywhere he goes really does lose any possible eeriness the image could conjure when you show him doing so by lugging it around like a Rubbermaid storage tub. And it's my favorite scene for it.

Greta Schroder is perfect for this. Her facial expressions and the look of sheer dread in her eyes in so many scenes is fantastic.

Squidward: "If that was you on the phone and you on the bus, then who was flickering the lights?"
**the lights then flicker on and off, then they turn to see Count Orlok there flickering the lights**
Everyone: "Nosferatu!"
**Orlok then faced the camera and smiles**
