It’s hilarious to hear from Jessy to tackle obstacles “slow and with control”! Remember watching him in Tasmania airlifting the Dmax to cross a nasty bog hole!! 😂

I reckon the biggest mistake most people make is going wheeling with everything including the kitchen sink. Weight kills performance and greatly increases risk of breakages. keep em light

Only just recently found your channel and just watched your video riding the Rubicon Trail in the US. As a Brit who moved to the US in 2019 I can totally relate to your experience and absolutely love the passion and excitement you have for doing things like this

“Out there by yourself, like I am today” he says right before hooking the winch to another car…..🤔

Lift doesn’t fit bigger tyres on modern IFS cars, you’ve even made videos before stating that exact thing. It’s all in the wheel offset, the alignment and the trimming. Even on solid axle vehicles, the lift doesn’t fit the bigger tyres either, its the extended bump stops limiting the up travel that fits them. The lift just allows longer shocks, which can’t be added in IFS. The Hilux for example only allows 17mm longer shocks in the front before every else starts binding. I know you’re trying to promote products but don’t blatantly lie

Best upgrade for me would be secondary oil filter from Insane Diesel.

Well done mate, so with you on front diff lock, I still can not understand why this is not a standard item on 4WD in Australia, does my head in. Stay safe, have fun, enjoy life! 🍻👍👌

Body lift is great for protection of sills and steps, especially in off camber situations.. 1 or 1, 5inch body lift did not rise weight much but gives more clearence under sills and for bigger wheels without need of extensive suspension lift. Also gives more room to clean chassy from mud and do maintenaces.

Nice segment jessy sometimes I think we need to go back to basics to understand what we can do with out mods as to having mods, which we are so spoilt with all these mods today we forget the simplicity and basics of 4wdriving

I’ve done pretty much all of these mods except for lockers on my 1012 Colorado.
The latest mod was to fit some heavy duty bash plates!
I’m not planning on doing tough tracks like I had in my previous vehicles so I’m not sure whether to invest in lockers. I prefer to pick better lines to get through but should I get stuck, I have a winch and plenty of recovery gear to go with it.
If I put a front locker in, do I need to also fit manual locking hubs?
