I was at this game right and let me tell you, this guy was different bracket. He cantered all about the pitch as if he owned it and on that day he did. There wasn’t just this free kick, about ten minutes prior Van Persie played a ball through to him and he strolled on to it and without breaking a sweat stroked it into the bottom corner as if he was playing against a bunch of school boys. He’s the best player I ever saw in our stadium by far, we were mesmerised. I’ll never see a player play at the DW in my lifetime that comes close to him.

The reason why he looked the way he did as the ball went into the goal was the ref had already made him take the kick again as he had tried to take it quickly before the ref was ready and he was saying to the ref, ‘Is that good enough?’ I was in the Wigan end that day (behind the goal when it was scored) and couldn’t believe how good that free kick was.

Just to clear it up, there was never a second free kick. This is literally taken straight from the match. He says "is that enough" because the ref didnt want him to take it quickly
