I remember seeing this orangutan when I was in the fifth grade with my friend on a field trip. I married my friend and 20+ years later we went back to the zoo to see her and she recognized us and happily came up to the glass to greet us. It was special and sad at the same time to still see her captivity.

Grew up with this Orangutang I believe. That is if they haven’t changed the one that’s in there.

Such a smart guy. It’s sad that we keep them in a cage, but I think he is treated well because he’s always been very interactive and happy.
