Prosfygika - A Complex Siplicity

Amongst the busy Athenian city, there lays a neighborhood that differs from the chaos that sorrounds it.
Prosfygika calls you to discover and understand all its meanings and values. This place encloses all the big milestones of the last twentieth century.

Prosfygika, in 2004 during Olympic Games, were covered with a cloth depicting the Acropolis, so not to defile the image of a society who might have wanted them to be forgotten. Still then, they refused to surrender, living in their own separated reality, where passing of time appears unable to affect their bold character. Within these solid walls of the still innovative Bauhaus buildings, words such as ‘’neighborhood, solidarity, hope, identity, culture, fear, diversity, freedom, squat, happiness, game, war, carefreeness, pain, shelter, unwanted, community, dignity’’ somehow co-exist in a unique harmony.
A complex simplicity.
