This scene makes me laugh histericaly because this scene shows how much the queen understands "don't start shit, won't be shit". When the egg started to hatch i can imagine the queen saying " it was just playing, IT WAS JUST PLAYING!" before ripley set it on fire! Lol

I was mesmerized by this movie as a child of the 80's and I still can't believe how well it holds up. Nearly every scene is perfect. I want to introduce my step kids to it who were all born after 2000 lol

H.R Giger was upset he wasn’t asked to come back to help with the creature effects, but he said he was extremely impressed with the queen and said they made her the exact way he would’ve. Pretty high praise from one of the most unique artists of our time.

Ripley's need for catharsis in this scene is why the aliens were able to live on instead of being exterminated when the station blew up.

I LOVE how the Queen was gonna let ripley go when it saw the flames. It ordered the drones to back off and gave a tiny nod as a "Take your kid and leave"

Ripley's biggest mistake was aiming she's pulse rifle grenade at the queen's egg sac instead of queen's head.

Just watching this scene of the Alien queen was just horrifying enought! Definitely give you nightmares. Just hideous! And all the eggs, most likely thousands that she laid, Ripley was most likely thinking and saying to herself" Torch these things to hell"! Better that than seeing any more people fall victim and not let Weyand Yutani use the aliens for military research at the expense of innocent human lives. Classic horror film
