“and that is why edwin diaz is not only the best reliever in all of baseball, but literally a reincarnation of jesus christ himself”

M's fan here, loving the Munoz respect and so happy Edwin Diaz ended up working out, he wasn't looking so hot after the trade and that really sucked cause I loved him but as a west coaster who roots for the Mets, I'm glad he's back to form for you guys

Helsey being #9 is so low. K/9, ERA, and other significant stat categories he ranked top 100 all time single season in so many of the major categories. An absolutely elite season, he’s at least top 3.

Ryan Helsley at 9 is a little off. I feel very confident with him at #3

Hader went through some personal stuff when he was traded in the middle of the year. He figured some stuff out, regained his confidence and was lights out for the rest of the year and into the playoffs for the Padres.

And that’s why Edwin Diaz ascended baseball and has become the ruler of the world

Doval deserves to be closer to the top, if he was on a team with more national attention he’d be considered one of the best, let’s not forget he threw 104 on more than 1 occasion

Josh Hader was unhittable in the playoffs, i think hes got the Hader/Best reliever in baseball thing back.

Interested to see where Bryan Abreu and Ryne Stanek would rank here too

hader had an unbelievably good end to the season i fully expect him to be back at number 1 last year

Feel like you undersold Doval a bit with "He throws 100" he broke the statcast record for fastest recorded cutter at 104 MPH. His stuff is among the best in the league. I agree that he could be top 10 in 2023

I get it’s one year but Helsley at 9 is insane, especially if we’re putting Muñoz and Duran at 5 and 7 after one year

"The Cubs bullpen...is just kind of horrible."

Cubs Current 2023 Bullpen (2022 Stats)
Keegan Thompson 3.76 ERA (1.47 as Reliever)
Drew Smyly 3.47 ERA
Brad Boxberger 2.95 ERA
Rowan Wick 4.22 ERA
Brandon Hughes 3.12 ERA
Adbert Alzolay 3.38 ERA
Javier Assad 3.11 ERA
Adrian Sampson 3.11 ERA
Or
Hayden Wesneski 2.18 ERA

Marc, it's okay to admit you don't watch the Cubs, but man, Baseball-reference is right there for ya.

I still think that Devin Williams is a top 7 reliever at least even when he walks people he still rarely lets them actually get home.

I thought you would incorporate Managers into these 12 days of rankings. Either way, I love these videos

Helsley at 9? Bro, only Diaz and Clase were anywhere close to him last year. He’s top 5 ALL day.

Are we just gonna forget about the postseason Josh Hader had?

I'd like to point out that Dominguez had an ERA close to Diaz's for most of the season until he got injured, missed a month and came back not as great. Come playoff time he was lights out again.
