CORRECTION: PCM is an uncompressed audio codec. From my new understanding, with support for PCM onboard, the Enclave CineHub can accept a decoded Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio signal in PCM format and play it as high definition uncompressed audio (most Blu-ray players can decode Dolby TrueHD/DTS Master Audio and send it PCM). Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD, Master Audio, and PCM will all match the original source audio quality without any loss.

Great review 👏, I just bought 👍 that system a short time ago. Was a little hesitant because of no Dolby atmos. When finally 🙌 set it up and listened 🎶, all my worries went away. It sounds really good 🎉. Very impressed 👏 with the build quality and sound. The best compliment I can give it is it making apps that play movies in stereo or Dolby sound like I put in a Blu-ray, amazing 👏. So tired off hype of Dolby atmos soundbar supposedly bouncing sound of wall like snake oil 😢. Keep up great work 👍.

Here's a pro and con for you. I've had this system for almost a year.
Pro- my dog has knocked over the same speaker 3 times. The screen cover got knocked off each times because of the impact. However it snapped back on and works good as new.(moved speaker so it doesn't happen again ;)
Con- center main channel is not that great. My experience is the sound is not consistent. Gotta constantly turn it up and down depending on dialogue. My room is on the large size.

Overall music sounds phenomenal!

The solution for the up firing speakers would be get rid of the CeneHub and purchase the SoundSend by WISA, about $200 on new egg, then add two wireless speakers for the upward speakers. The SoundSend will allow 7.1 or 5.1.2 but no additional sub, from my understanding, and has Dolby Atmos support.

Seems that they could add just actual height (Atmos/DTS) by adding a speaker add on kit, like they do for the subs. Might need a firmware or possibly new WISA box to support the additional channels, I don’t know, but building a sound bar instead of just a single system in a box, completely wireless and no receiver, would be a game changer. I know there is Sonos, but without Atmos surrounds, they are limiting themselves.

I'm just baffled that these actual home theater systems disappeared from the market during the last decade. I had a traditional system during the DVD era (DD 5.1/DTS), an awesome home theater system by LG during the Blu-ray era (Dolby TrueHD/DTS HDMA) and now I'm in the market for the object-based (Dolby Atmos/DTS:X) surround audio for my home theater. But I learned it's only freaking soundbars these days! I have used actual real surround speakers for 20+ years now, I'm not going to go just for a freaking soundbar. Sure, there are soundbars with surround speakers. But so far I haven't found any setup that actually fills my needs. There's always some deal-breaking con. Great video! You are making it hard for me to decide though!😂. We are building a new house and our TV/game room is a very odd shaped room with vaulted ceilings. I’ve got a few months to figure this out though. I’m still hoping Klipsch comes out with their new home theater system in the meantime. Right now I’m leaning towards a Sonas Arc with One’s as surrounds. Thanks for the Enclave review!
