Props to the stamina. But the defender was taking way too much time on the ball. If not, the running would've looked pretty excessive.

The real error is the defender holding on to the ball too long he could have passed to the open man

That’s cool an all but it’s better for a striker to not get tired doing that, that way he’s 100% when it’s time to attack

he is a real press machine!
(He was like me in IRL)

It was a noob move wasting all of his energy, you "experts" need to know that

skill is one aspect of soccer but the dedication and fitness and focus is the main ones you need.

Honestly he can only do that cos he’s like 5”6. A striker usually is 6ft+ so it’s much more energy consuming to press. You’ll get tired real quick no matter how you train.

I mean…. If the center backs were at that level. Striker comes out of position like that they can play it to the midfielder and break a line so he would have done his team a disservice there but hey it paid off

I understand that you mean by his efforts that he is pouting in the game but against a more experienced team he will just run around in circles and lose stamina

Everyone has a position. If there is ever a better chance at you pressing the defense then you should call for a replacement but this is very rare unless your midfield is slow defending the attack. If your midfield/wing is there you should have faith in him. Because he is your assist, if he does take the ball from the enemy and the forward is out of position there is no setup for a goal. Because the forward is there for a strike, even if you take the ball as a forward you’ll just have run back to the goal where you were supposed to be.

It’s better you give everyone a chance and be there for the goal then not give anyone a chance at not even get close to the goal.

Coach always got pissed at the sweats because when I was in the field they had many times to pass it to right wing (my position) and my job is basically a little bit of everything, the wings do the most running, all our job is is running back and forth. pushing the attack or falling for defense. They never passed it to me cause they had their own little passing group, but when coach finally scolded them with profanity and insults they figured out that I was always there for there to help my right back, always there for providing room, always there for the attack and was definitely ready to whip in a cross.

Everyone has their job, especially is soccer. If you don’t give people chances they will start to think they are bad at soccer and will quit the team. I’ve seen it happen to a kid with potential at defense, and it’s very sad to see.

It’s important to think for yourself, but on a team it’s important to be open minded.

Man being poor really doesn't give you favours when you want to do such things...

Sure, but he won’t last 9 minutes let alone 90.
If you are gonna press you have to do it as a team or you are just wasting your energy.
