Identify patterns on a multiplication chart
In this lesson you will learn to find multiplication patterns by using a multiplication chart.
ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
STANDARDS
CCSS.3.OA.D.9 Identify arithmetic patterns (including patterns in the addition table or multiplication table), and explain them using properties of operations. For example, observe that 4 times a number is always even, and explain why 4 times a number can be decomposed into two equal addends.
IN.3.AT.6 Create, extend, and give an appropriate rule for number patterns using multiplication within 1000.
VA.PFA.5.18 The student will identify, describe, create, express, and extend number patterns found in objects, pictures, numbers and tables.
VA.PFA.3.16 The student will identify, describe, create, and extend patterns found in objects, pictures, numbers and tables.
VA.PFA.4.15 The student will identify, describe, create, and extend patterns found in objects, pictures, numbers, and tables.
FL.MAFS.3.OA.4.9 Identify arithmetic patterns (including patterns in the addition table or multiplication table), and explain them using properties of operations. For example, observe that 4 times a number is always even, and explain why 4 times a number can be decomposed into two equal addends.
