I do love a floss toss! It's great to see how the colours actually look on the different counts and fabrics too. It's good that 123 will do a refund, do they do free postage for returns? Anyway, it's better to Stitch from Stash!!
I agree with you about mystery SALs, those are the only projects I have ever turned into Give-ups but at least you know what you are getting with a FP, they've done so many now. I tend to wait until at least halfway through before deciding.
I would love to see how the income from a mystery stacks up againsts a standard release, with all the limited edition extras it must be quite lucrative. Which can only be a good thing for the industry. If a $10 pin means they can keep designing then it's a nice way to donate to their business!

As for fabrics- i oiled the first one Haunted best- but I like mottled fabrics. I would have seen it as a windy, kind of rainy/cloudy background which would be great for Halloween! But I dont stitch Halloween so feel free to ignore my opinion. Lol. Your choice looks fine.
