Today I had given one interview in which interviewer asked me:
Question: Let say we have monthly sales target, quarterly sales targets. So these will go in fact table or dimension table?

I mentioned that they should go in dimension table because this data is having some context and this is not transactional data, someone has to manually set these values. So these should go in dimension table only.

Can anybody or Manish please confirm is this correct or not with proper explanation?

Explain fact table with its type
Ans:
* fact table is database table in data warehouse that is store contative information for analysis
*fact table is center table of star and snow flack schema
*fact table typically have two column forign key to dimesion table
*fact table contain only numerical data
*primary key of each dimesion table is part of fact table
*fact table conncted to dimesion table though the forign key

There are three type of fact table
1 addictive
2 semi addictive
3 non addictiive
