I have this same toy but from another re-seller and it is wonderful to watch. The thing I found is that the flapping is so energetic in the full sun that the butterfly jumps off the motor. I put a 90 degee bend in the wire after passing it through the plastic disk and that stopped the butterfly from leaving. After a day or so it wore out the plastic disk. I put a small glass bead at the friction point of the wire and disk and now it's going strong again. Waiting to see how long it goes.
