The Battle of Bosworth 2016 commemorated and recreated the epic battle of 1485 that brought down Richard III and began the Tudor Age. Filmed on location at Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre near Leicester. Please visit this excellent family-friendly heritage location.

The battle and accompanying living history camp was created by the Wars of the Roses Federation.

Music by Badde Habyt - a fantastic band who play early music by day and rock by night. The first track is 'It's your turn', the second is 'The Agincourt Carol'.

Music overpowering better to explain what is happening and it’s significance to English history. I am from Leicester and it is important for people to know.

I have heard that King Richard III sought personal combat with Henry Bolingbroke (the future Henry VII) and the latter's knights killed him brutally. Is this true?

I'm a strong advocate that Tudors, shouldn't have ever been at the helm of aristocracy. The worst Tudor being, Henry the VIII, whom they pleased for the fear of torture and subsequent death had they made a displeasurable impression of anything. How many he condemned to death, and imprisonment to secure his own bloodline. And not to mention the countless others he terrorised and raped because of his insatiable appetite for lust, and taste of their fear. Luckily for Elizabeth I, she was scholarly student that excelled linguistically. That pleased Henry the VIII. Otherwise could have easily ended up as her mother, Ann Boleyn, beheaded.

Great video. Love those livery colors. But lose the fat ladies if you really want to be historically accurate. I don't think there was an obesity crisis in the 15th century...

Why is everyone and everything so clean?!?!? Oh yeah because most of the people there just wanna get drunk and swing weapons rather than do anything truly educational. Bless, some do try though 😄
