The true story of Molly Bloom, a beautiful, young, Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Its a testament to how on the edge, and special a film is, by how purplexed the dumbass Academy's reaction is to that film is.
Jessica Chastain is easily nomination material here, Academy decided to play the fools.
In 94 Pulp Fiction was the brilliant trend-setting film that was only recognized for Best Screenplay Oscar, and nothing else.
In 2004 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was the brilliant trend-setting film that was only recognized for, guessed it, a Best Screenplay Oscar, and nothing else.
Now in 2017, Molly's Game is going down the same road.
This movie will go down as a CLASSIC.

I have yet to see this film but I'm guessing from this scene that Molly really didn't trust anyone but herself. Here she gets upset with Idris Elba's character and ridicules his speech when he was her lawyer and the only one defending her besides her father.
