I LOVE the glowing blue hemispheres capping off the nacelles! Just as the grills of the Connie didn't glow in TOS because of technical limitations, I feel these hemispheres should have also glowed but didn't for the same reason. They add a "more was needed with past tech to get the job done" feel to the technology.

The Delta shape of the NX Delta class starship will be adopted at some point and become the official insignia for StarFleet well into the future.
