Ever since we saw it at Computex, we knew the Corsair Crystal Series 280X needed to be reviewed. it is minimalist, looks great and has an interesting dual chamber design. But is this matx gaming case any good!

i've actually been thinking about making a mATX buil just because of this case. It's so stunning!

I love the 2 chamber design and the complete glass thing I think it would be awesome if the Corsiar logo in the front would be RGB too.

Why height over width? With all that glass that is a case to put on your desk, where in almost all applications there is plenty of nothing between the desk and the roof for a high case, but a wide one will take away useful space

I think I would go with a Meshify C Mini if I were building an mATX system.

I don't understand why Corsair put the grommets in if a normal size mATX board will cover them. It's like they wanted to say it's mATX but really want you to use a Mini ITX board. It's just not a very well thought out design.

Front and top in mesh would look so much better

Looks like the top panel glass obstruct the heat exhaust flow and thus making it flow only through the side gap and the exhaust air from front/top gap get suck in back into from the front panel through its top gap?

Wouldn't there be negative air pressure if the intake is choked off? So the GPU sucks in clean air from outside the case.

Corsair falling behind when it comes to case designs if you ask me. Used to love corsair until everybody else almost is coming up with new and amazing ideas to put in their cases.

They really need to make more good MATX motherboards rather than only focus on ATX

I don't understand the love affair with tempered glass. Sure, it's fine for the "display" side of the case to show off hardware. What I don't understand is/are cases that have it on the front and top where fans are? (Some cases even have it on the back side panel where all the cables are supposed to be hiding, and I don't get that at all unless you are a cable management god and can make that area look presentable lol).

It blocks airflow, as clearly shown in this video, and just looks stupid in those locations IMO. Anywhere a fan is mounted should have mesh and not a solid piece of glass. Maybe I'm just old school.

Can you fit here a FULL ATX MOBO? Yes, I know that this is a mid tower case, but it has 5 cm more hight than the FULL ATX mobo. So, it fits for sure, but how it looks after =)

I love the dual-chamber cases. It makes cable management so much easier, and the look is great for these "Cube" style cases. Would love to see more manufacturers make cases like this!
