There is no doubt that Foton is the best performing Chinese automotive brand in the Philippines. In 2018, the local company that handles the brand was able to break into the top 10 in terms of sales, edging out Chevrolet for the ninth spot overall.

There's are quite a few reasons for that. Things like a good pricing strategy, a good reputation in after sales, and a robust line-up that -while not as well refined as more established marques- boasts of robustness that really caters to those that want a tough, no-nonsense mover of materiel, people, or their families.

One of those models is the Foton View Traveller, a massive, high-roof van that has it where it counts in so many aspects, most especially in price. It also comes with a trusty 2.8-liter Cummins engine built by the Cummins Foton JV in China.

Most people trying to bad mouth this vehicle without having been into one. May masabi lang. Ive been with the Foton Traveller for 4 days 3 night from Bataan to Banawe, Sagada, Baguio and back with I think 17 people. The engine power is way more than enough. It was an easy climb. AC was very cold and the suspension is not bad at all.

Its actually a licensed copy of the Hiace. So they did not “steal” the design. So dont be afraid to say the name.

How about the AC coolness? Since it has a larger cubic volume to cool on to compared to Hiace and Nissan NV350, can the compressor manage to cool very well the cabin?

failed to mention the suspension, is it bumpy in the 3rd to last rows?

I wanna buy this just for the color. I wish vans like the HiAce and Urvan are available with funkier colors like blue, red, and yellow. Also, to the naysayers, I used to scoff at Chinese products but these days their quality is really getting much better. To top it off they've managed to keep prices aggressive. Just look at Chinese phones like Huawei, Oppo and Vivo, Chinese electronics brands like TCL and Hisense. Yes they're not the best but they are more than good enough and their prices are very compelling. To those complaining, I dare you find a better alternative at this price. If you don't want it then get a HiAce. Me, I'd actually be willing to bet my money that it's a good car.

How is the shock for this car? I am looking for a van to buy suited for a wheelchair user. I hope someone will give me quote for this.
