There's so many layers to Jerry It's incredible. Jerry is only the way he is because being with Beth somehow limits his potential and its revealed that Jerry and Beth mainly get together due to Rick's intervention. Other than C137, Doofus Rick is the only Rick we know not to have a Beth and incidentally, Jerry is the most successful person on that Earth. Then look at Cronenburg Jerry, while he did have Beth, total societal collapse evened the playing field enough that he steps up, and after she dies he becomes a badass wanderer. Even "divorce" Jerry grew a pair and frequently challenged Rick's authority.

I know so little of Doofus Jerry, nothing but that he's a quite respected character that has only been seen in the comics so far, i have yet to see it myself but after watching this i've got to say, if you're telling me the "final boss" in rick & morty is in fact no other, no else but a Jerry, damn.
