When I first saw Twilight's final form I didn't hate it completely but I thought it would look more harmonious if she was smaller, like how Cadence and Luna were smaller than Celestia even though they were both alicorns too, and Luna seems to have been born an alicorn and was still smaller than Celestia, so if you want to take into account the fact that Twilight wasn't an alicorn by birth, she wouldn't be bigger than Luna, and Cadence may be naturally slender like other ponies in the series.

Oh man I remember the drama in the fandom when Twilight got her wings. The toys were released before the episode came out and people were NOT happy and kept wondering if she was now inmortal and would outlive her friends.

If there's something I see the entire fandom agree on, it's the fact the rainbow power up form from the S4 Finale had amazing colours in the mane! (reffering to the yellow in Twis hair)

The redesign of the castle looks much more lush, lively and welcoming And Twilight's ultimate redesign is a huge improvement from what the team chose! She looked like a purple Celestia, but your version is a lot more ethereal gorgeous and more Twi-like! Hasbro should hire you already!

At first I didn't care about Twilight being an Alicorn I was more upset about the castle I hated it I miss the Library so much

If I remember correctly, it wasn’t 4chan who called the show “the end of artistic shows”. It was some guy writing an article who said that, singlehanded igniting the Brony fandom which STARTED forming on 4chan because they were so insulted by his words.

So yeah, 4chan is an odd place. Full of wonders AND horrors.

Sooo cute! I remember when Twilight was turned into an alicorn when I was actively watching the show, I also just loved the self indulgent fantasy of it. MCs who are deserving of being royalty getting a royal title? Little me loved it sooo much! But that's probably cuz I always love princess stuff😅

I seriously was not feeling the gold-yellow up until the end and then my frigging jaw dropped lol. She's like a nighttime sky *and* an ombre sunset all in one somehow! I adore alicorns and was not disappointed. <333

When she first became an alicorn at the end of the season, I was not sure how I was going to feel about such a large change to the show's dynamic. But, much to my relief, when the next season came out, the change did not really change Twilight herself all that much outside of giving her a new form and new responsibilities. Even without the form change, if Twilight's responsibilities had had an upswing in what she was expected to do, she would have been stressed out and anxious regardless, that's just kind of how she's always been. Becoming an alicorn was just more of a clear visual reminder that she was now tasked with greater things, like an apprentice wizard moving to journeyman and getting their robes and a more powerful wand.
I was also happy to see that they actually went with 'she has to learn to fly' rather than having just given it to her. I think the transformation was actually handled very well, and it was refreshing to see them not just be like 'bam! New powers!' but actually have the character herself experience a bit of dissonance with the change and have to grow into it.

Though it's still an eyesore to Ponyville's simple-earth-tone vibe, at least it's more welcoming and nature-like than the extremely pointy exterior of the original. Similar to the Student 6's treehouse but more "natural".

I’d love to see a Luna redesign! Especially a Nightmare Moon one, as I think they could have used her better ! She has always been my favorite perhaps due to “Lullaby for a princess”. Also they did her so dirty in Equestria Girls!

No judgement. But I think the redesign of her castle is the best. I really liked the og because it was more her colors and crystally. But the addition of leaves really sold me that the castle could've looked more alive
