Callie, a lead nurse at the burn intensive care unit, shares her story about growing up in a small Kansas town and adapting to city life in Omaha, as well as coming to, leaving and returning to Nebraska Medicine.
She worked at Nebraska Medicine for five years, before her adventurous spirit lead her to leave and do travel nursing. However, Nebraska Medicine never left her thoughts.
"This hospital always stood out as a place that really supported its nurses and encouraged career advancement," she says.
Callie adds that being able to also work with some of the sickest patients and complicated cases is rewarding to be with them every step of the way.
"I can't imagine being at another place," she says.
