As cringey as Claire could be I think Brandon and Claire would have been a good couple. They are both smart, ambitious, attractive and well connected (especially Claire). She could have opened the doors Brandon wanted opened career wise. Claire didn’t play the dumb mind games Kelly played.

I liked that they made Clare more likable as the show went on. After Brenda left, she and Valerie were the most memorable characters.

I liked Clare later on, but I didn't like her with Brandon. It felt so desperate on her part. Like she finally wore him down, but not a surprise they didn't last. I did like her with Steve though.

I hated the character of Clare. They wrote her as completely unlikable. The poor actress didn’t have a lot to work with that you could root for her.

Claire is here a little bit like Valerie at the end of season 5 in my opinion. Both wanted Brandon and tried a lot to get him. She reminds me a little bit of Valerie, although Valerie and Claire are different characters.

Clare really has NO shame whatsoever. In real life, Brandon would have immediately called the police, and she'd be led out in handcuffs. But since she's in a teen soap, of course, it leads to them hooking up.
