Travel Update & Where should we go next?

It has been ages since we did a travel update video informing you of our upcoming travel plans, places we've visited recently and suggestions of where we should go next.

After our trip to India we came home to Canada for 6 weeks to visit family, play with our pets (Hobie the Maine Coon and Togo the German Shepherd) and get ready for being nomadic again for the rest of the year.

The first project we've completed recently was in Nevada with Expedia, Travel Nevada and iambassador called #NevadaStories where we did an action packed 3 days road-trip adventure covering quirky destinations such as the Alien Highway and visiting national parks such as Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon.

Upon arriving back in Brampton (Toronto area) we had less than a day to pack up and get ready for our flights to South Africa which saw us flying from Toronto to Frankfurt to Johannesburg and finally Cape Town.

Just outside of Cape Town we based ourselves in Stellenbosch to partake in #StellenBlog a food and travel related campaign highlighting some of the best experiences at vineyards as well as adventure activities in and outside of Stellenbosch. It was so much fun and we're looking forward to editing that video soon.

Most recently we've been hanging out in Cape Town, South Africa where we've been running around the city doing travel related activities and eating lots of local food. We've hoping to make city guide for Cape Town along with plenty of food vlogs and an apartment tour. So far we've filmed Bunny Chow and Gatsby already.

Travel Update & Where should we go next? Video Transcript:

Well good afternoon everyone!

Actually we've been running around here in Cape Town and uh yeah we were exhausted this afternoon so we both took a nap.

Alright, so we figured it was time for an update video. We haven't made one of those in a while so we should talk about what we've been doing these last few months.

Yeah, so basically after India we came back to Canada for 6 weeks and we were hanging out with family, hanging out with pets. We made the pet videos. You saw Hobie and Togo. Hobie and Togo and we basically spent a lot of that time catching up on our India series editing and immediately after we went on a trip to Nevada.

Yes, so we teamed up with Expedia and Travel Nevada and we did a three day road trip so we have just finished editing that footage and that'll be coming out on the channel soon and it was a fun trip because we drove the ExtraTerrestrial Highway and yeah that was a really quirky trip.

We did some really fun quirky things and we also visited some like amazing National Parks. Oh, the Valley of Fire. Yeah and we even made it to Red Rock Canyon at the end.

And then we flew back to Toronto but we had one day and then we were off to Europe

3 flights. Via Frankfurt and Johannesburg and then we arrived in Cape Town.

Where am I?

We are in South Africa because we were working on a cool campaign called #StellenBlog and we basically spent a week in Stellenbosch which is the wine region with a group of instagrammers, videographers, bloggers, yeah. Kind of like exploring the region, drinking lots of wine and there is going to be some cool content coming up.

So in Stellenbosch it was a really cool combination of visiting different vineyards and doing a lot of adventurous activities so yeah we're looking forward that video out and in Cape Town we basically been renting an AirBNB and just doing our own thing here. So yeah, we're going to have like tonnes of food videos. We've made just as of today we made a Bunny Chow video. It is like a Indian South African food and we did Gatsby yesterday and we have a few more food videos that we're going to make. We're hoping to do an apartment tour.

So the question is where should we go? Yeah. What should we do?

We are leaving South Africa in about 2 or 3 days time and we're flying to Munich and from there we're going to spend a few days locked away in a villa editing. We're going to be in Nuremberg to catch up on editing.

We'd love to hear your suggestions for Europe so maybe like what cities you'd like to see videos from, what kind of food videos you'd want us to make. Suggestions are greatly appreciated. I think that is our update. We look forward to reading your comments and we'll see you next time.

Georgia and Armenia -- wonderful, unusual food and awesome nature. I think this is much more interesting, as far as food is concerned, than Austria. Also, it is very cheap..

Hi Sam and Audrey, my wife and I just got back from the Amalfi coast and we very impressed with our whole adventure. I know its a huge tourist destination point for many, however I think you guys would make a great video there. The year before we were in Croatia and I think this is part of the world is where people just don’t know how beautiful and interesting it can be. For us our next destination is Spain and Portugal with aside trip to Marrakech. I very much enjoy the youtube videos you prepare and publish and I look forward to your future endeavours. Thanks from a fellow Canadian, maybe someday my wife and I will cross paths.

My husband and I are going to Scotland in June for a whole month this year ( June 4 - July 4). We have been to Scotland before, but most of the time we visited family and friends in Glasgow and Edinburgh area. This time we have planned a complete trip to the highlands, Edinburgh -> Fort William -> Glencoe -> Isle of Skye -> North Coast 500 -> Thurso -> Aberdeen -> Dundee etc. and places where people would not visit when they go to Scotland. You guys should do that also! It's so beautiful up there.

Hi Sam and Audrey! Thanks for the update.  May I suggest to you Slovenia, since you may be planning on Austria and it borders to the south.  Amazing food and wine culture, but what they are really known for is the oneness with nature.  Beautiful lakes, mountains, forests, waterfalls,  etc.  A lot of Italian influences, too. Also, another place I recommend is the Basque Country in north-eastern Spain /south-western France.  San Sebastian, Bilbao, Biarritz, etc.  I think these places are true gems!

I'm really looking forward to seeing your travels and adventurous in Europe! It's one of the most expensive countries in the World, but it would be awesome to see you guys travel through and do Switzerland. Anywhere in Europe will be interesting to see too. Excited for you guys ^^

Prague is also another spectacular city, with a unique atmosphere. The best thing to do while there is to walk around Old Town famous square, with the Clock, cafés, restaurants, stores, street artists. And one place I don't know, but which would make me feel very glad to see a video from you, is Croatia, specially the city of Dubrovnik.

Hey guys, can't wait for videos from Nevada and SA trip. As many comments have suggested here, i also think Balkan countries are not that much explored especially here on YouTube and they are so beautiful, so that trip would be awesome. Also, Audrey if you're going to Austria, if possible please do a video in Vienna. I love the city, i have seen it in so many Bollywood movies and i appreciate the old heritage of the city, the hundreds of years old shops and the streets where you can still see the horse carriages and it is so clean. Have nice time in Europe guys.

Cool places that I haven't been to but inspire me (and maybe you too):
-Plitvice Lake, Croatia
-Thermal Baths in Slovenia
-Giverny, France
-Carcassonne, France
-Bilbao, Spain
-Iceland
A few non turistic(or less turistic) places in Italy:
-Vicenza and the Palladio's architecture
-Ravenna
-Dolomiti if you like hiking
Hope you're having a great time! Happy travels ;)

Been following for about a year (and checked your back catalog) and see you've done Finland and Tallinn in Estonia. How about a bit more in Estonia (or re-visit) and add Lithuania and Latvia? Poland I believe has a lot of value to offer as well - very "European" and not over priced.

Italy - Bologna and Florence and Rome, ofc. I am from Croatia and yes, our sea is really nice, towns (Pula, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Šibenik, Rovinj, Trogir) and islands (Korčula, Hvar, Rab) have a lot of history, food is great, it is not as expensive as Italy so keep that in mind 😊

In Germany, Sam and Audrey, I would recommend: the beautiful Marburg an der Lahn; the exciting Hamburg; the lovely Harz region; the adventurous Bodensee-Region; the most romantic Burg Eltz (castle from the 12th century); in Austria: visit Innsbruck, this is really a must.

Do you guys have a map of everywhere you have been?
It would be neat to see like an interactive world map that you can zoom in and see cities you have been to with like video links and such one day :0 ( Or just a map with little dots where you have been. )
