This is awesome. This helped me realize I should incorporate head movement with the parry

Sometimes u just watch fighting styles and makes me feel in s past life or if I had the chance to train with those movement patters in the context of combat from a young age, I could’ve become unstoppable. It happened when I saw African stick fighting. I wish we had more modern equivalents of that sort of stuff

Usik from Ukraian, and he went through Ukrainian boxer school. Same as Klitschko brothers. If that's was soviet school, where are Russian champions? Lol

This is Ukrainian boxing style.
Soviet trainers mostly were from Ukraine.

I think soviet styles is not as flash as cuban but I think it is better in the sense that it is useful both in ameteur and pro ranks whereas cubans have problem oftwn times in transitioning in pros.

ya it works it he throws one punch at your stomach lol. cmon with a combo and eventually he’s going to leave a hole you can’t parry / slap every punch and not leave holes open

Ukraine is one of the oldest european settlement. Many generations passed on courage and skills to this day.

European and Soviet style was notoriously considered shit during most of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st Century, it was considered amateur-ccentric fighting (as in amateur boxing), sort of pokey defencey point scoring fighting with little focus on leverage and follow through needed for the professional ranks…how times have changed eh)
