I think that it goes to show how honorable meta knight is, while the halberd was under attack and about to fall meta knight he still gives Kirby a fair fight by giving him a sword.

Fun fact, if you're thinking that Meta Knight commanding "raise RIGHT wing power" sounded wrong because that wouldn't stop the ship from tilting, you're correct. This was a mistake that was corrected in the remake of this game, where he says "increase LEFT wing power" instead. However, since this is based off the original version and not the remake, this video is accurate.
