I'm not an Everton fan, but it's putting me off the sport that the only people that benefit from this situation, are the ones who are the actual problem, that being the players. And forget the 'mercenary' tag which is just lazily tagged on these players. The real problem are not the mercenaries, its the players who do work hard, who do put it in in training, who try and do everything for the club, but who have managed to manufacture a situation for themselves where they are being paid ludicrously above their ability level.
