one thing that is common when using ultrasonic cleaners is to put the part you want to clean in a ziplock bag with water and soap or other cleaning agents and then put the bag in the ultrasonic water and clean it that way. This keeps you from having to dump and refill the cleaner all the time.

I got a used ultrasonic cleaner from my brother, the dentist. Works great! Sodium Triphosphate works well as an additive. Water gets funky, fast, though.

There were times when I considered building an ultrasonic cleaner. It's fairly simple. I use Evaporust instead. Too, sometimes the part just needs to be buffed. I work on vintage machinery; rust comes with the territory.

Oh no, you ruined it. You could fast forward the video and show the difference between two parts of the Stanley knife handlebar. I am not sure if the cleaner really works as described.

I’m spoiled with access to a full duty, always on, heated sonic cleaner. Have to make sure you don’t leave anything in there too long or it’ll ruin expensive things. I think the label on the side says ten seconds of finger in there is permanent damage to nerves.
