I'm pure blood too. So are my husband and our three teens. I'm 44 and he's 50 so not sure I'll be able to carry to term anymore. But my oldest is 19 and youngest is 14. They all chose on their own to refuse the modification. They also chose to get baptized the same day dad and I did (7/15/2018). All five of us! This mom's heart truly overflows.

Damascus is the longest running continuous inhabited city. Therefore, when the Bible says it will be a ruinest heap, I'm pretty sure it means uninhabitable. I think it is yet to come.

I'm 61 yrs old, I guess if Sarah could bare a child at a very old age, then its possible. Not that I desire such a thing. I hope the Lord Jesus has some other plan for the rest of my life in this human skin. My desire is to shed it very soon though, with the blessed hope or with passing on. "Damascus is taken away from being a city" - I don't find where it's never ceased from being a city. The information available online show it has been captured and "sacked" but never ceased being a city and inhabited by at least some group of peoples.

Damascus was not completely ruined, and it still exists! I believe it’s still yet to come . Ruined would be like Sodom which was never rebuilt.

It says that Damascus will be a ruinous heap and will cease from being a city. Damascus is still inhabited and is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. Isaiah 17 is yet to occur but is well on its way to being fulfilled. 😬

If that were the case you wouldn’t have thousands of pastors and teachers and scholars disagreeing with each other on scripture just like what is being discussed in this video! If Damascus is taken away from being a city and becomes a ruinous heap, then wouldn’t it still be a heap?Damascus is currently a very active city, they’re not a ruinous heap. At least not yet. Is there any scripture saying it will be a ruinous heap but will be built back? If it’s already been destroyed and become a ruinous heap you would think that scripture would say that it would come back as it already has. Please pastor, give me some clarification on this. I’ve always been taught that Damascus would be destroyed, possibly by nukes, because it says it will be destroyed overnight. The only thing I can think of that can completely destroy a city overnight would be severe bombing or nuclear bombs. Opinions or scripture references anyone?
