NEW Thaye Ghost EXPLAINED in 1 Minute - Phasmophobia New Update

The Thaye is one of the new amazing ghosts in Phasmophobia.

The 3 pieces of evidence for the Thaye are Ghost Orbs, Ghost Writing and DOTS while the ghost is more likely to interact with the ghost writing book and the DOTS-projector.

What makes this ghost so special is that it deteriorates over time when you are near the ghost.

The ghost starts at a young state where it behaves very Oni-Like. It’s super active and responsive. But be very careful. The Thaye is known to be an early hunter. It can start hunting you at around 75% sanity.

When the Thaye is hunting you in its early state it will be very fast and you can’t outrun it.
The best way to escape is to break line of sight and hide.

The longer you are investigating near the ghost the older and less active the Thaye gets.

The sanity threshhold to trigger a hunt lowers to shade-like levels at around 15% sanity.

If the Thaye starts hunting you at its older state it becomes easier to out run and loop the ghost.

Unlike most other ghosts in Phasmophobia the Thaye does not speed up while it has line of sight to the player.

It’s easier to accomplish the objectives when the Thaye is still in its more active, younger state.

When you know you are dealing with the Thaye you should be aware of its early hunting capabilities and have some smudge sticks ready.

Wait a minute.. a thaye can age yes but it doesn’t start off slow. Only a Deo always knows where you are and slows significantly when you are near it. One of the best ghosts in my opinion.

And if you have an Oujia Board as a Cursed Posession, ask the ghost "How old are you?" after more important stuff, and remember it. If its a Thaye, and you find the Board early enough, it will say a low number, but that in itself doesn't mean anything. After about 5 minutes, ask it again, and it will say something around 40, and the longer the game goes, the larger the number it says, meaning its constantly aging, thus its a Thaye.

They dropped tha ball sooo hard by not making spirit box thaye evidence, with 'how old are you' response changing over time. Rn there's no function to ask ghosts their age
