For anyone out there who has full use of both hand let me say how lucky you are I would give anything to be able to have that I never knew how important your thumbs was for playing guitar until I lost the use of both my thumbs and 70% strength in both hands. My both hands cramp up and lock making it so very hard to play guitar 🎸 but with Marty's videos I now can finger pick with only 2 fingers and hold almost all the chords but no bar chords at all it's a start if I can do it you can sky is the limit for you don't give up Marty is the best teacher you will ever find anyplace he puts his heart and soul into every video not sure if you realize how hard he works for us Marty is an amazing person with a heart of gold he cares about people and has a great science of humor always makes me smile even though my most painful days . I want to take the time to thank Marty and Molly for all your help I now am a lifetime member and may I say I am forever in heaven Marty has helped me though the most difficult times in my life I'm fighting cancer for my 3rd fight and also have MS Staying up all night not being able to sleep I watch Marty's videro he is amazing not only do I learn a lot but he makes me laugh On top of everything I lost the use of both my thumbs and 70 % strength in both hands and broke my neck my both thumbs and neck are fused and do not turn anyone who plays guitar will know how important it is to have 100% full use of both hands and with out being able to turn your head or look down it's hard to play with 32 screws sux plats and a few bars in my neck shoulders hand well lets just say I gave up on playing guitar 🎸 After watching Marty I now can play guitar again after 45 years of not playing I only can finger pick with 2 fingers but it's more then I ever expected to do with out Marty only god know where I would be today I jam st want to be sure that Marty knows how much he has helped me and you can say saved my life yes I was at the end of my rope but happy to say I no longer have time to be depressed because I'm busy watching Marty My brother use to help me a bit as a kid got me started playing guitar sad to say he took his life 2 years ago and I was very lost again Marty to the rescue I am forever great full to you Marty for everything Please if you have any tips on getting strength in my hands or finding a way for me to play bar chords please help As I watch Marty's Hendrix videos I get a bit sad I can not do bar chords or stretch my fingers much I learned to stop trying to do what I cannot and put more into what I am able to do and be the best at that I also can not hold a pick but thanks to my very good friend Vinny Smith from V- picks he has made me quite a few picks that stick to my hand yes no glue and never drop your pick again you rub the pick to warm it and yes it sticks If you never tried V- picks please go log on to v-pick.com Vinny is a wonderful person and dear friend with a heart of gold Just like Marty a heart of gold People don't understand or appreciate the time and effort Marty puts into his videos after all if you had to take guitar class it would count a lot of money Years ago in Brooklyn it use to be $45 for 1/2 hour now not sure but it's a lot Marty give lots of free videos saves you a lot of money and your in the comfort of your own home I hope Marty will one day know how much he has helped me more then he will ever know His family must be so very proud of him Thank you Marty for giving me hope and always putting a smile on my face even with all my pain I still can smile thanks to Marty P.S just asking if Marty would ever teach handicapped players ? I think there are so many people in need of help who has giving up on playing as I did please don't give up you can do it if you try and watch Marty Join his coaching club you will love it 😍 as I do God bless you Marty please keep the videos coming Can you maybe do a new video on playing 12 string finger picking ?
