France ban on UK freight causes chaos at Dover port

France's ban on transport to and from the UK over a mutant coronavirus strain has brought much of its cargo movement to a halt, leaving trucks carrying French essential goods and produce stranded at the border.
The British government says food and medicine supplies are sufficient for now.
But the food industry is warning that some fresh products might run out in days if goods do not start moving again soon.

I think the different European countries should send Ferries to recover their citizens with their trucks from UK.

There is important trade for France and Europe in those trucks, and also French drivers who need to get back home are stuck there too. Just think about all the perishables going to rot in some of those vehicles. Nothing like Western waste when the world suffers.

Well if you run out of fresh produce why not produce self. Seaweed is edible. Most normal and wild weeds are. Go hunt for flesh for a change. Boil a slug . Have edible flowers instead of just decorative ones ( potato ). Milk a tree. Food is out there.

funny thing I work on covid 19 test site and we are in folkestone if u come to us the delay time will be from 1 day to max 5 days go to Manston International Airport.

And we dont tolerate abuse we know its frustrating but dont try to abuse us or we decline you to take test and you will habe to go to different site
