I definitely got the rose bushes, I definitely got the rose bushes. All these years, I never realized how much that statement foreshadows what is about to come.

Charlie repeating himself is a sign of him being Raymonds brother 😊❤😊❤😊

"Why should I be dissapointed ? I got Rose bushes didn't I, I got a used car didn't I.." :D

The focus and close up of him stimming is VERY interesting 😉

This role was to Tomcat what Henry Hill was to Liotta. This was a gem in his crown at that time in his life.

The gloomy rain outside honestly adds to the depression of this scene.

Tom Cruise can mix anger with comedy, brilliant.

“Did you hear that letter? Were you listening?”
“Yes sir, I was. Were you?”
“No, could you repeat it? ‘Cause I can’t believe my fucking ears.”

Favorite part of this scene aside from “I definitely got the rose bushes.”

This actually happened to me as well, out of my mothers million dollar plus estate, all I got was a clock, 2 cheap paintings & a rug, I stormed out of the lawyers office. BTW, I was the only one who took care of my mother.

Love this scene. I just don't know why Charlie's dad never told him that he had a brother.

He got 3 million dollars but he didn't get the rose bushes. I definitely got the rose bushes.

If the Son was that upset with his Father all those years ago, he shouldn't have showed up to the Reading of the Will. Just move on with your life.

I definitely got the red bushes, how he talks like his brother in this scene

That will be similar to how the reading of my Dad’s Will likely would go.
I won’t be in attendance.

This is a good scene. You see more of Charlie's character on wanting to going back home only for his father's passing and the hearing of the will. That shows he's not a great son at all or grew up on forgiving his old man and only wanted something, but got the short end of the stick. I know wills are good things, it's just the people on expecting something out of wills are what get to me. It's like you lost someone you loved in your life, and then you expect something selfishly like that? It just tears families up. I don't know how executors hold the emotions in on bad people. I know there are some families who are better, but still.

In reality you don’t need to have a lawyer to read the will. It’s a public document filed in a Surrogate’s court. Scenes like this just make good Hollywood entertainment.

He didn't even deserve the Rose the car.
