It is obvious that Labour has no idea how to deal with the migrant crisis. It is counter productive to dismantle measures already in place to deter illegal migration to the UK before putting in place alternatives. The barge was accommodation intended to save money on providing hotel places for migrants while their asylum claims were processed. One can only assume that the intention now is to provide a blanket permission to remain in the UK, as the government has little chance of processing the numbers involved in any reasonable time scale. This will only get worse as the numbers arriving increase as a result of the loss of any deterrent effect.
This weak asylum policy will have a knock impact on Labour's expensive house building program, as there is no way it will be able to keep up with the numbers arriving, let alone the back log or the needs of the indigenous population.
Labour must not be allowed to label house building as economic growth, when it is just expensive parasitic economic activity.
Labour's existing migration control plan will never work, as it is dependent on actions outside its jurisdiction. The EU response to this government's call for international cooperation has already been to expect the UK to accept migrant quotas that it wishes to impose on the UK. For the government to exercise control on those entering UK borders, it must reduce the pull factor on economic migrants with measures implemented within its jurisdiction, within the UK.

I'm one of those affected by the winter fuel cut. I didn't vote Labour but it's ironic that probably millions of poor pensioners did and this is how they have been treated. It will mean a great deal to my wife and I this coming winter, living on a state pension is not easy these days and every little helps. Between us we paid in 100 years of National Insurance payments to pay for our pensions, it's our money we get in pensions not a hand out. When they talk of the triple lock as if it's some great give away, it's a percentage of a very small figure which in our experience is always taken off us and we end up no better off. Rachel Reeves is hated in our household I hope I live long enough to see the back of her and the rest of Liebour!

Majority of the democracy loving people are highly disappointed at Kier's appointment of Tulip Siddiq as City Minister, despite her and her family's controversial attachment with aunt Sheikh Hasina, the facist tyrant and self proclaimed PM of Bangladesh who has been suppressing the democratic and human rights in the country and denying the nation a free and fare election since 2014.
