You should try telling the AI that both of your pilots are dead, that you have in the past played msfs and know some things about flying but you need help to bring the plane down safely and see what happens

If ATC gives you: “RWY (#), taxi via (PARALLEL TAXIWAY)”
The instruction implies to taxi full length and hold short at the last intersection.
In this case ATC saying “RWY 33, taxi via A” would be sufficient.
“…hold short RWY 33” is a redundant instruction since you already need to receive instruction from Tower to line up and wait on the active runway or be cleared for takeoff.
The hold short instruction is used when you will be expected to cross a runway during your taxi, say to parking or to your departure runway. But in this situation you are not taxing across 33 to any parking and 33/15 is the only runway.
Now if there was parallel runways like 33L and 33R, then an instruction like: “…RWY 33L, taxi via A, hold short RWY 33R”
This would be an appropriate instruction. And you would be expected to taxi full length and hold short at RWY 33R at A9 until given instruction to cross.

At 8:00 most airports I've been to expect you to switch over to tower freq when ready to go at the hold short line, usually when the runup area is close to the runway. For airports that have runup areas at the ramp you call up ground before entering a movement area with runup complete to get a taxi clearance, when approaching the runway they then tell you to monitor tower freq. Example of the latter: KAPA

One tip of mine which helped me get confident on vatsim, if anyone interested.

Don't fly IFR first. Fly VFR, possibly in your country. However I understand that some countries only have controllers over controlled airspaces. My country has a lot of uncontrolled airspaces, I used to fly a lot communicating with information (semi flight following). It gives you a little more freedom and space to make mistakes and after you got used to talking to people, got confident and proficient make small cross country IFR routes so you can get accustomed to the IFR routine.
