Isn't it funny what we sometimes call "me time"? It's all relative... but in your case... it's all relatives😉

"We finished all the things." Really? All of them? I'm jealous.

I have heard and have had a dentist and orthodontist confirm that if kids get braces too young that they need them again by the end of high school or early adulthood. This is especially true for severe misalignment. My sons were severe and I felt so guilty for a few years until I could get them. But my retired dentist friend said that it was probably a good thing he didn't get them until 15 so he doesn't have to get them again later. The only thing he could do in his 20s is have his jaw moved forward, but that's not covered by insurance because he'll have full function without it.

Sounds like Annie doesn't want braces. I had 7 permanent teeth removed because my jawline is small. I was supposed to have braces around First Grade but my Dad said no way. I never had braces but did develop TMJ.
Braces used to require a lot of special brushing, especially after every meal. It's done so differently now with Invisalign and other methods. Hopefully Annie doesn't get too uncomfortable with her braces.
