#HowToPaint a Grisaille Underpainting 🖌️ 5 step value scale working black to white #shorts

Part one of a new painting, this is a quick summary of a 5 step value scale used to make a grisaille underpainting, painting the darkest darks first I work my way through one value at a time to fill in the whole figure, preserving the white for only the brightest areas so I can really sontrol where on the portrait I want the highest contrast and focus.
