In this video, I will describe seven of the most common mistakes that teachers make in regard to classroom management. Some of the mistakes are instructional, while other relate to the personality of the teacher and how they react to misbehavior on the part of the student. This video is part of a larger playlist on classroom management brought forth by teachings in education. Other videos include an in-depth explanation on how to manage student behavior. Another video will describe the four different types of classroom management styles which include authoritative, permissive, indulgent, and authoritarian.

Some good ideas here. Even experienced teachers need to review class management. It is critical to back up any statement that you make to a student. If a student is off-task or playing around during class, make sure you have a system in place so you follow through. Another point is to have a way of quickly documenting any consequence for behavior. This way you can check before students leave for recess or another class that they have a consequence to follow up on. If you don't, students will not take your behavior consequences seriously.

Just FYI this doesn’t work it’s all up to behavior of students and discipline and consequences of school/admin.
