I cannot believe that Wrecking Ball would fit the ball scene. This song is like a reflection of the intense feelings that Kate and Anthony feel for each other. It may not be as gentle and passionate as “Strange”, the song that played during Daphne and Simon’s bed scene but it’s definitely the best one out of the songs they played in season 2. The last episode is the most intense one. They literally fought their feelings off until they could not contain it anymore. The way they’ve been staring intensely at each others’ eyes. Intimacy through eyes. I guess it’s another dimension that the director want us to see.

That scene was majestic, if someone have told me that I would be blown away by two persons dancing during a ball and just staring at each other with wrecking ball as THE SONG...I wouldn't have believe it. Anthony and Kate invente chemistry and the director create masterpiece. PERIOD

Using Wrecking Ball is such a genius move. Kate and Anthony literally came in to each other's life like a wrecking ball and wreck each other's walls down. And the part in the song "i will always love you" makes it even special knowing that this song was playing when they thought this was going to be their last dance together.

I was surprised when I heard the first notes of Wrecking Ball instrumental, but it just fit absolutely perfect for Anthony and Kate. Because their relationship was a wrecking ball, it caused chaos at the beginning but it was passion and love. Their love was a wrecking ball to them both. They were unprepared for it but it hit them both hard and fast. I will say now, this scene with this song is my favorite moment of the 2nd season! It was beautiful!

When I first watched Bridgerton and saw that it was playing this song, I was so confused because Wrecking Ball isn't exactly a romantic song. And then I heard it. The beauty and elegance of it. The romance the melody portrays. I can honestly say that his song made me cry because it gives the romantic tone of "I see you, you see me, we are meant to be." When I was watching this scene, all I could do was cry and think "I want a love exactly like this, where they don't need words or extravagant gestures, they just need to look into each other's eyes to know the love they have for each other." This was truly a masterpiece that deserves all the love in the world.
