Hop harvest in Oregon’s Willamette Valley is a family affair. For generations, Oregon farmers have taken to the fields for the month of harvest, rotating shifts, schedules, and fields to make sure each hop variety is harvested at the correct time.

This is similar what we do in Australia. There are two hop farms in Tasmania in Australia called Bushy Park and Scottsdale. Bushy Park does almost the same method what are showing in this video. Yours explained the details. An another great video.

As a child I used to hand pick wild hops with mu dad. He used them as medicine and some home made beer.
