In case you're wondering, it's the Gundam Marker EX Plated Silver (XGM100) that Mecha is referring to when he painted the headpiece. I had to go digging to make sure myself when he said "chrome" and thought I had missed a Gundam Marker in my set.

What's funny is that this thing predates Halo by a good 12 or so years, showing up in Fukuchi Mobile Suit Station in 1989. Meaning, this thing was the OG Master Chief or his father.

Fun fact, the gm spartan 1st apear in Fukuchi Mobile Suit Station is a 1989 original design series by mechanical designer Hitoshi Fukuchi featured in Bandai's Model Journal magazine, most of the design are variants of One Year War mobile suits.

The Halo game was plan in 1997 and release in 2001.

Make you think did the people in Bungie copy the gm spartan or someone who work on in or it was all just coincidence.

the 3 ports on the head is a flare dispenser, or a smoke dispenser, and yes, you can see it using the beam sabers the way you were curious about in Gundam Battle Operation 2

Nice kit, i had one too but i modified it heavily and now it has an odst-ish colour scheme and different weapons

You can flip the spare magazine's when they are mounted on the back skirting so you don't see the hollow bits through the legs. Also, I absolutely painted my visor and headcams gold for more Halo, and added some of the Sprukits Halo weapons because, Halo.

I like to think that simple knife is for cutting those exposed Zaku hoses, where you don't have to waste energy using beam sabers.

I got this kit a while ago and it is one of my favorite Gm kits in my GM collection... It has so much personality and the visor is such a nice contrast. Panel lining seems like a fun project.

That’s an awesome looking Gundam !, I like the contrast of the different olive greens, and the metallic markers really do add visual magic to the overall mech. 😊

i have the bootleg version of this. it surprisingly very good, even compare against the original kit. maybe because its p-bandai reference. with significant price different.
