What a lovely song! I still recall vividly the moment I heard "Sally G." on the radio for the first time, early one morning before going to school. Though it came on unannounced, it was clear as day that this was Macca . . . nevertheless I was pretty puzzled, 'cause I'd never before heard a song of his with such a distinctive country sound (featured Nashville cracks were Fiddle player Johnny Gimble and Lloyd Green on pedal steel and Dobro, btw.) It took me a while to find out that this was the flipside of the "Junior's Farm" single - then I instantly went off to buy it. And I still f***ing love it - enjoy!
