Part of me thinks these tests/qualifications are the most significant thing of value they want us to do and we do it for free and then there is no obligation on their part to continue a contract

I'm currently hired as a US Rater on Telus. I passed all 3 parts of the exam, but the 3rd part is a bit challenging. I failed the 3rd part twice, the 3rd retake would have been my final try. But I passed it on the 3rd try... Why do I do it? Because it is the easiest $12/hr I've made. I have my main job, then I keep doing Telus at home after work. I sit on my chair, and do the tasks. Some tasks are REALLY easy, I love those. Some require more attention. Sometimes you finish a task early and just let the timer run until the allotted time is over, then move on to the next task. Yes having to study for the exam was sucky, but once you're in.. it's honestly easy.

I signed on with Telus last year. I could never pass their tests. I got on a project and barely worked it because I was burned out each day after I started my new job then they kicked me off the project. Appen was great during the pandemic. I was making $300+ a month months. Òne or 2 times I made over $600. Now itß dried up and cant get on any protects. I need a good side hustle to bring in extra cash. Prolific has been good so far.. I just need to put more time in.

I work for them but at the office. The test took like 30 minites and the interview the same... Please note. The normal pay in my country is arounf $2.50 so... This is gold for me. I now bought a 145 squer meters 4 bedroom flat. Telus is GOLD!

i dont know if that qualification test is even worth taking if its only $12/hr. You have to study then take 3 parts. just to get crappy pay. You can get a job at panda express starting at $16/hr and you get free lunch

Great video! I interviewed with Telus today for a Prompt Writer position. I have experience in prompt engineering and natural language processing and 5 years experience in AI and they still want me to take some timed bullshit exam. They are offering $27 an hour full time with benefits for remote work. Sounds sketchy.

How in the world do you get your I 9 forms to them? They have been sending me emails checking up on me to see why I havnt done it yet, but I am not seeing their email that has the links or instructions to the I 9 fill outs. I have left 4 messages to the email address that is there for if you need assistance and I havnt heard anything back. No response. Then I called the Las Vegas office and left a message with human resources. I dont know what else to do. ugggh

omgggg....lol...you had me laughing the whole time...listen, I tried welocalize, and went through the same crap....it was horrible and then didnt get picked...ughhhh... i was mad.
Thanks for the honest feedback, I was actually in the exam phase when i watched this video, so i dont think i will put myself through anymore torture...lolololol

I want to apply but live in New York! Not in NYC. I live close to PA. Do I have a chance of getting in as $15 is current wage minimum. $16 is in NYC. Read somewhere that CA and NY don’t get the US rater jobs

I try to apply for a rater job. I make in on the second day that i receive it. I think is the worst thing i ever made. Taking that test was something strange. They ask me if i was italian or not before they accept me. I said im Italian but i need some preparation for something in english and understand more about it. Today i make the test because they need my answer (wtf?) i make a mess i think bc i didn't read nothing, the support didn't answer me when i ask why they rush me in a such way instead of the one week (that i read online) that all people have
