Deeply hidden in the great French forests, lies a mystical beauty that has remained off the radar for a vast amount of years. Let me take you on an exclusive look behind the closed doors of this enchanting castle.

Through all the years of neglect, the property almost magically seems to have become in harmony with nature. While the overgrowth steadily makes its way in, and the building is slowly but surely dematerializing. With thousands of books and phantasmal statues scattered around, some of the rooms inside this once majestic castle seem straight out of a scene of a Harry Potter movie.

Where this was once the residence of a potent nobility and one of the key branches of the society of that time, it's now nothing more than a piece of lost glory completely forgotten by its wall of dense vegetation.

Which events ever took place within the walls of this prestigious building? And who are the faces in these photos?

Let's find out and open the doors to the leopard castle, while I cast the spell to go on a new adventure together!

So heartbreaking to see such beautiful historical piece decay and lost forever do to neglect. The library in particular made me want to cry. 200+ years old books, probably a lot of 1st editions, extremely valuable both monetarily and historically, damaged beyond repair, turning to dust. I'm so glad you have an appreciation for this history & are willing to document it with your videos to preserve it, before it's gone forever. Just a friendly piece of advice though. You might want to consider wearing goggles with your N95 mask&gloves. Mold particles can enter the blood stream through your eyes as well, especially after prolonged & repeated exposures. A lot of people love your videos, including myself. Wouldn't want you getting sick. :)

Thank you for capturing such incredible beauty, even in it's decaying state. I found myself going from complete awe, where we were both commenting "WOW!!!" at the same time, to fighting back tears of sadness that this gorgeous estate has no one to love it and bring it back to life. I wish I had the money to buy it and restore it, along with so many others you've showcased. I so look forward to going on these adventures with you and hope to one day, live in some part of Europe (France or Italy or other) and get to perhaps see one of these jewels for myself in person. In the meantime, I am eternally grateful for your willingness to put yourself inside these places for our viewing and appreciation. Much love from San Francisco, California! :)

Somehow I missed this video! 🤦Maureno, I just want to let you know that I've watched a lot of different exploration videos & no one is as good as you. The locations, your thoroughness, respect & story telling; right down to the music & editing. You're the best in the business, my friend. I'm proud to be a subscriber of 2 years. And this was just another great explore. The library was bittersweet. I loved it, yet, it broke my heart to see the books molding. Take care & stay safe. Much love. 👍❤️

لدي سؤال .. الم يصادفك شيء من الجن أو الأشباح في دخولك للبيوت والقصور المهجورة والتي لم يدخلها إنسان من فترة طويله؟

The first piece in the basement is called a "Push Chair" for the disabled or larger aged children. I am blown away by all the vintage literature you found!!! You should notify a historical center and they can try to track down the right to save them.

The machine you thought was for grinding actually makes music, the giant brass roller turns while the pads hit it causing different notes

That looked like a place of warmth and happiness, even though it's been abandoned for so long. It really was, and in its own way still is, a beautiful castle. I love the music you add to the videos. It matches important moments, like when we saw the extravagant decorations in the Rose Room.
Thank you for another wonderful explore, perfectly filmed and edited. I love your narrations and the words you use to explain and express wonder.

Omg….there’s even mold on the books. As a former book designer, and a book collector, it breaks my heart to see this. Thank you for your wonderful explorer videos… I’d never get a chance to experience these fantastic properties without you! Did you notice the wonderful sounds of the songbirds???

Some of those books look like records of land deeds. What a shame to lose all that family history! I'm a genealogist and I can tell you, someone is looking for those!

The strollers resembles "carriages" that were pulled by larger dog breeds or ponies with children as the riders.. The "hay wagon" had two seats for children and a step on the back for an older child. My grandmother rode in the "hay wagon" type out to the farm fields to help. This was in the U.S.A. around 1890! Friends still use these in the Northern Great Plains: Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana.

Not much of real value left here except for the old books, once valuable but now decaying and moldy. This family most likely moved into a smaller place and took only what they needed or had room for.

Would have been exciting and so interesting to hear the story behind this castle. Imagine buying this kind of castle, renovate it and then make it a museum with magical story.

Any time you come across a book that old you need to read the first few pages to get an idea of the information this will make for some more exciting and informative content. The info that you come across will change the way you and other people think of history that is hidden from most people

I believe there are two reasons why big houses get abandoned. 1) "You just can't get the staff" which has been a common complaint since young people became better educated and had other work options. 2) Governments profiting off dead people and their heirs. If they kept their noses out of private affairs many of these homes wouldn't be abandoned. But then there's the costs of hiring staff. There's no more cheap labour. You lose either way.
